About Me: 

My name is Ashleigh Myrick Lockhart. I am married to Cody Lockhart and we have two wonderful children, Annleigh Cate and Easton. Cody is a Cytotechnologist and musician/Drummer. Annleigh Cate is 4 and in K4. She loves taking dance and will start soccer this year. She will begin her days at Sumiton in the Fall. Easton is 2 and loves to be outside, firetrucks and dances anytime he hears music. He is a HUGE Mama's boy! Outside of SMS, I teach baby ballet classes at ShowStoppers Dance Co. I have taken and/or taught dance since I was 5 years old. I love dancing and I'm so glad I get to share this passion with my daughter. I have loved sharing my love of dance with so many little girls over the years. I am a Bulldog through and through! I attended Sumiton as a young girl and returned as a sub during my college days. I was blessed to do my student teaching with Kelley Black in 2nd grade, then landed my dream job teaching 2nd grade next door to her. I taught 2nd grade for 9 years then moved into the position of Sumiton Middle School Counselor. I have been in this position for 6 years and hope to finish out my career in education at Sumiton Middle.
