The philosophy of the Welding
program is to train future welders and metal craftsmen
in the art of cutting, joining, and working metals
using a variety of processes and techniques. Each student
will be guided through a series of classroom and laboratory
experiences that will allow them to reach their fullest
potential and become productive members of a rapidly
changing technological society.

| PROGRAM
OBJECTIVES |
1. To prepare students in a wide variety of cutting and joining
techniques.
2. To give students practical experience using a variety of
electrodes and metal in the four major welding positions on
different
types of joints.
3. To provide both practical and academic knowledge necessary
for the student to obtain a competitive job in either the welding
or metal working industries.
