COOPERATIVE EDUCATION
PROGRAM

The Cooperative
Education program provides for the combining of career/technical
classroom instruction with related on-the-job experiences.
Cooperative Education affords students an excellent opportunity
to receive career/technical instruction in their chosen
career to take skills they have received from Trade and
Industrial Occupational Specific programs and apply them
in a work-based learning situation. |

| PROGRAM
OBJECTIVES |
1. To develop leadership, personal management, and career planning
skills.
2. To provide work-based learning situations so students can
transfer from the role of full-time student to full-time employee.
3. To emphasize the use of decision-making and problem-solving
techniques in applying science, mathematics, communication,
and social studies concepts to solve technological problems
4. To provide instruction and training in the proper care,
maintenance, and use of tools and equipment and all applicable
local, state,
and federal safety and environmental regulations.
