SPECIAL POPULATION
The philosophy of the Special Populations program is to serve all students who have been identified as special needs students.
PROGRAM OBJECTIVES

1. To identify all the special needs students who attend Walker County Center of Technology.

2. To identify all the special needs students who are enrolled in career/technical classes in Walker County high schools.

3. To use all available resources to provide assistance to the special needs students.
PROGRAM STRENGTHS

1. Programs with a high percentage of special needs students are targeted each year for major expenditures to upgrade programs.

2. Records for special needs students at Walker County Center of Technology are accessible to the teachers of these students.

3. Computer-based programs are used to assist students with the Alabama High School Graduation Exam.
