Mission Statement:

Our mission is to promote student learning which will develop independent, productive individuals in a changing technological world.

The Walker County Center of Technology is a Career/Technical School for high school students in Walker County, Alabama.

You might say that WCCT is an extension of every high school in Walker County. All students in grades 10-12 and 9th grade at risk students are free to attend. Group projects, guided practice, and problem solving activities occur daily and students are assigned tasks that fit their ability level.

Students on general or advanced diploma options can benefit from practical applications of the theory they have studied. Student organizations are an integral part of the instruction process. WCCT also offers adult night classes periodically for the purpose of enhancing or upgrading skills.

Customized instruction for a particular business or industry can be arranged. Each program offered is discussed in further detail at various places on this website.

Choose a program that is right for you. Learn about each program by clicking the links on the left menu bar.
