The Walker County Center of Technology is a Career/Technical School for high school students in Walker County, Alabama. You might say that WCCT is an extension of every high school in Walker County. All students in grades 10-12 are free to attend. Use this site to learn more about all that WCCT has to offer.

STUDENT OPPORTUNITIES

The Walker County Center of Technology provides career/technical educational
experiences for students in grades ten through twelve.

All Walker County High School Students have the option of selecting the Advanced, Technical, Advanced/Technical endorsements to the Alabama High School Diploma. Students have the option to attend regardless of their endorsement choice.
  • WCCT has sixteen Career/Technical programs
    to select from.

  • Students earn two credits per year.

  • Students gain technical experience while still in high school.

  • Students receive employability training.

  • Technical Education classes participate in Skills USA. All other career/technical programs
    participate in their respective youth organizations.

  • Students receive individualized instruction.
  • Students can earn college credit through articulation agreements between WCCT and community colleges.

  • Applied curriculum increases exposure to higher level thinking skills.

  • Courses give students hands-on experience.

  • Students can earn all diploma options while attending WCCT.

  • All courses are Business & Industry Certified.
