Applying for Professional Positions
Applications are to be
submitted to the Office of the Superintendent located at 1710 Alabama
Avenue, Jasper, Alabama 35501
Applicants who are not employed in the Walker County
School System must fill out application #1 (valid for two years), attach
copies of your grade transcript and teaching certificate. Upon
employment, the original documents will be required.
Nonemployed and employed personnel should complete
application #2 for each posted position in which you are interested.
Be sure the correct position number (P****) is filled in the
"position applied for" line.
Applicants should apply
only for those positions for which they meet certification requirements.
Applications must be fully completed. All prospective teachers are
required to furnish proof of Highly Qualified status and transcripts from
all colleges attended.
It is the policy of the
Walker County Board of Education that no person employed with the Walker
County School System shall, on the grounds of race, color, handicap, sex, religion, creed, national origin or age be excluded from participation in,
be denied the benefits of, or be subjected to discrimination under any
program, activity or employment.
