I received my bachelor of science from the University of Alabama in 1997 and my Master's of education from Auburn University in 2000. Although I went to both universities I am a huge Alabama fan!!! I also received my National Counselor Certification in 2000 as well. I enjoy going to the mountains and hiking in the Great Smoky Mountains National Park. My favorite place in the mountains is Maggie Valley North Carolina. I also love the beach! My husband and I had a boat house on the coast, but Katrina took her away. My husband and I have three lovely “children”... our very hyper and spoiled miniature dachshund (Boone), and two very spoiled cats (Poncho and Lefty)

This is my 8th year at Lupton and I feel like it is my home. I grew up in Jasper and attended Jasper City Schools, Walker College, and The University of Alabama at Birmingham. I received a Bachelor’s degree in Elementary and Special Education and a Master's in Collaborative Education. I enjoy working with the administration, teachers and staff at Lupton because we share a common goal; all children can learn we just have to learn how to reach them! I believe reading is the most important academic skill. Reading is what makes learning all other subjects possible. My goal is 100% literacy for the students of Lupton and we are well on our way. My husband and I live in Jasper and have 2 dogs, Luker and Elenore.
