The Lupton Jr. High Beta Club is a member of the National Jr. Beta Club organization. The mission of the National Jr. Beta Club is to promote the ideals of academic achievement, character, service and leadership among elementary and secondary school students. Membership in the Lupton Jr. High Beta Club is made up from among 7th and 8th grade students with an 85 or above overall average, who demonstrate a worthy character, credible achievement, and commendable attitude.

Each year the Lupton Jr. High Beta Club undertakes a program of service which includes but is not limited to raising money for the Arthritis Foundation and for the Arc of Walker County. Our members benefit from a program which encourages them to perform well in school, as well as provides opportunities to serve their community.

Members of the Lupton Jr. High Beta Club have the opportunity to attend an annual convention, where they are able to meet the Beta Club members from across the state. While at convention, members may choose to participate in activities which include academic competitions, quiz bowl, arts and crafts, talent competitions, or speech and essay writing. Also during convention, as a member of the National Beta Club, each member who attends will become part of the delegation who elect their state officers.
