Curry Elementary School is a K-4 school nestled on the edge of beautiful Smith Lake.  We also have a Head-start program.  The school is proud to have scored highest in Walker County on the Stanford Achievement Test for the past several years.  Mr. Steven H. Rowe, the principal, credits this honor to dedicated teachers, parents, and willing-to-achieve students who value an education.

A strong Parent-Teacher Organization is constantly working to provide time and money to enhance the educational programs at Curry Elementary School.

Many of the teachers hold advanced degrees and most who do not are currently working on them.  Four teachers have achieved National Model Classroom status from Accelerated Reader.  The school has a strong fine arts program in place and hosts performers from all over the country throughout the year.
