Carbon Hill Elementary/Jr. High School

Welcome to Carbon Hill Elementary/Jr. High School, home of the Bulldogs!

Carbon Hill Elementary/Junior High School is a K-8 school located in Carbon Hill, Alabama.  The new facility replaces the school that was destroyed by a tornado on November 10, 2002.  Because of dedicated teachers, parents, and students, Carbon Hill Elementary/Junior High performs well on standardized testing, such as the Alabama Reading and Math Test, SAT 10, Alabama Direct Assessment of Writing, and DIBLES.

Carbon Hill Elementary/Junior High received 21st Century Grant in 2007.  As a result of the grant, an outstanding after-school program provides students with tutorial and enrichment activities.

A Parent-Teacher Organization works to enhance the educational programs at Carbon Hill Elementary/Junior High.  This organization has bought playground equipment for the school, as well as sponsors an attendance incentive program.

Mission Statement

Through a spirit of teamwork, the faculty and staff recognize the uniqueness of each student and will strive to promote lifelong learning by establishing a climate of opportunity that fosters the academic, social, physical and emotional growth of each student.
