Our Principal

Mr. Mike Scott

This is my twentieth year in education. Eleven of those years were spent at Bankhead Middle School and Cordova High School. I was the principal at Sumiton Elementary/Middle School before I moved to Cordova Elementary School. My wife Karen and I have been married for 19 years and we have two children, Madison (16) and Mary Beth (12).

Mr. Mike Scott -Principal

I am very excited about being the principal and am impressed with our staff and student body. Cordova Elementary School consists of a Head Start Program, and grades K-4. Cordova Elementary is an ARI (Alabama Reading Initiative) and AMSTI (Alabama Math Science Technology Innitiative) School. As a staff, we put a strong emphasis on reading and student achievement. We have approximately 370 students and 45 staff members.
