Welcome to Bankhead Middle School, home of the Blue Devils!

The present building was constructed in 1979. Bankhead includes fifth through the eighth grades with seventeen of the best teachers in the county.

Other than sports, Bankhead also has a lot of special activities and clubs including Beta Club, Drama Club, Glee Club, Science Club, Student Council, First Priority, Quiz Bowl and Band.

Students at Bankhead are introduced to Shurley English in the fifth and sixth grades.  This is a more hands-on way of learning English with rhythm and rhyme.  The fifth and sixth grade students are also introduced to Saxon math.  This math program gives a more in depth understanding for different types of learning. In grades six through eight Integrated Science is taught.  This type of science is very hands-on with books, videos and many different experiments.
