The Walker County Safe and Drug-Free Schools and Communities program is in the process of writing a plan to address drug issues and violence prevention in the Walker County School System.  An advisory counsel made up of community, government and school representatives will be developing goals and objectives to assist with the development of the application for 2007-2008.

The funds to be applied for are part of the No Child Left Behind Act of 2001, Public Law 107-110.
